recycling..

The clear breads were leftover from a wedding bracelet I made for a friend, the green beads are recycled from a necklace I broke years ago. Together... they make very dainty looking necklace.

Quiet January...

To recover from the festive season, I am spending a lot of time at home. This means i have plenty of time to make more jewellery. Here is what I have been working on this first week of the year...

I've discovered a new technique using copper wire. It allows me to create my own beads in a range of colour. They look great on a long necklace like this one, but i have idea for bracelet and earrings so watch this space.

I also wanted to use up the spare glass beads left from previous necklaces. I decided to combine them with black seed beads. I think it gives the necklace a more "wintery" kinda look compared to previous necklace. Looks its best worn over a nice jumper, sitting by a fireplace sipping a hot chocolate... :)

orders are flowing in ...

I havent been able to update the blog because... I was busy making more jewellery :)
Last week, I sold 3 necklaces and got about 5 orders! (hurray !) My jewellery is proving popular with friends and workmates. Soon I'll take the jump and put stuff on Ebay! Until then I am building the client base and my confidence! :)
